After the biometrics done, what happens next and what is the time frame for EAD, travel documents and I-485 card to be issued? Or What next after the biometrics are done? Please advise.

if you can go to biometric center within 10 days of original appointment and do a walk-in on a walk-in date, usually WED;
else
go to biometric center and hand over the originals (after keeping a copy) and ask them to reschdule and give them for ex., any date after 25th OCT 2007.

Let us be very clear, we are MORE THAN WILLING to associate with any org that can be beneficial to us. One of the members of IV had established contact with USINPAC and it has been a very fruitful association
If anyone can do the same thing with any other org (could be 'Chinese Physicians Association', or 'Russians in America' or 'Canadians in USA' or even 'Americans for High Skilled Immigrants' - please note that I made up all the names, but please get the gist) please take the inititative and let us know how it goes.
Also note, that even if we associate with an org primarily working for a particular country, all our issues will benefit EVERYONE from every country. It is impossible to press for an amendment like 'Ability to file I485 without regard to visa number for Indian Nationals only'. The US Government doesn't allow that and neither will IV go in that direction.
The keywords here are 'publicity and exposure'. We really need that to protect our amendments in the Senate and the House Conference

Call nearest DOL office from a public phone and with a fake identity...........
tell them your friend is in trouble and explain the situation to them....they will guide you

I have talked to them and they need only the name of Company and the name of victim .....rest they will do themselves.

My case was approved on Aug 19, 2010. I received my card on Aug 26, 2010.
Unfortunately, The EAD card had a wrong start date. I have sent my cards back for correction on Sept 2, 2010.
(I do have approval e-mail of my cards and the case.)
So, Question is, Can I work while my cards come back with the correct date. I don't have receipt of the replacement cards in my hand yet.
Please let me know.

you need to be in possession of the card to work. the fact that you sent the card back does not make you eligible to work, as the card had dates that were wrong. what were the wrong dates? you can work only for the dates that the card was approved for, provided you have the card in your possession.

If you have receipt # of your I-485, filing or refiling I-765 and I-131 is a simple task. You can do that after 30 days, as suggested by USCIS. It is not a big loss anyway. Main thing is I-485.

I think I know what you mean, however, I'm not sure how to do it in Swift alone.
You could do the opposite of what you want (objects together at the beginning then splitting up) import the swf into flash, then select the 30 frames and choose the 'Reverse frames' option to get the desired effect.

Hi,
Currently I am in US in H1B and my I-94 is expires in Sept 30 2010 and there is an extension filed for my H1.
In the mean time I want to file I-130 and I-485 based on my brothers citizenship.
Whether the status will change before sept 30 2010? Also if I leave US whether the application will be still valid and how much time it takes to get an approval for both?

Family 4th preference is retrogressed by a decade ( or two if you are from Philippines), so you may have to wait another 10 years to be eligible to file i-485.:confused:

Can somebody provide the normal steps and what to expect after 485 gets filed. Is there a number you get, is there something you check online, what to expect in mail, what to check with the attorney, what is Finger printing, when to expect EAD, Travel Parole.. Do we need to call a hotline, I keep hearing Infopass. What is the final thing like do they stamp in the passport and we assume we have the GC? All I know is GC is not green:)

My current job desc requires an MS + 3 or BS + 5 years experience, with special certification like six sigma required. When my labor was filed, I had exactly 3 years of experience. The above was what I filed for my PERM application. I am planning on moving to another job where the job description is similar ( my i-140 is approved and my i-485 has been pending for more than 6 months) , but the new job requires an MS + 6 years or a BS + 8 and no special requirements. I gained 3 more years of experience with my current job description, but does that count since I gained it after my PERM was filed? Also, do educational requirements matter in order to port? any help is greatly appreciated..

I read the link posted. This is an independent think tank about movement of people worldwide and the report in general analyses the three upcoming bills in relation to EB and non EB immigration and illegals. Overall the bill states that immigration is of benefit to the US and the degree of benefit depends on the legality and skill level of the immigrants, and they suggest that Family category 4 and DV category should be eliminated and used for EB immigration and also suggest readjusting the per country cap to accomadate for the reality of more immigrants from the retrogressed countries. I think this is good and we should include this in our presentation to the lawmakers, this will carry good weight.

My PD is 08/04/06, and my AP is expiring on June 2nd, I probably will have to travel sometimes June end. I am in a fix if I should go ahead and apply for Ap now. My PD will be current begining June 1st. I heard it may take 1 week to 60 days to get GC after your date becomes current, Do you guys think it's good idea to just apply for AP just in case?

You may apply for AP at any time right? If you apply now, it is very unlikely that you will receive before your June end travel. And if you don't get your GC in june what will you do ? see, it is very easy to ask confusing questions. :)
