where is your brother now? In US or India? Did he appear for interview as well with his wife? If he is in US how can the HYD consulate ask him for 2nd interview?
new developement is that HYD consulate called him for rare second interview,atleast that the email says
any idea what to expect,it seems that they want stamp visa cancelled

It goes to the FBI database. They do an extensive backgroud check on you for upto 7 years. They go verify your background in your home country too. If you remember they would have asked you to fill up a biographic information form along with the fingerprinting.
I have submited my FP all 10 fingers when I was working for my past employer which was a financial company dealing in Credit Cards business. They collect it when they issue badge as part of security and its a federal requirement for financial company. I am not sure if they maintain it internally or send it to FBI for storage does any one have any info?

Now for this EAD, should I go thru an attorney or do it myself by the USCIS website.
you can file EAD on your own, see the self-filing threads on IV, or other webapges on sites for required documentation. Dont spend money on an attorney just for this.

so what's the problem here.
Just work with your attorney and employer who filed your 140 to send them the info/letter they need with details on which client you worked for and when, etc.

Thanks for your responses. The hospital staff told us it would take 60-90 days to get the SSN. I am stuck until that arrives because only then can I apply for the passport. Any way to get around it?
You don't need SSN to apply for a passport for a baby. PIO card takes about two weeks to process in SFO. I dont think there is any fast processing available for PIO.

I saw that priority date for EB2 (all other countries) now is current, while for EB3 is May 2005.....
Does it mean that when my LC is ready I will have to wait my priority date for approximately 3 years?
