Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On June 22, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
I have received mail from uscis for my H1B visa status.
What to do know.?
Will I receive mail in INDIA or my company who has filled H1B Visa will receive it ?
Today is 03 July 2007 still i have not received any courier from USCIS people.
Please help me what to do next.????

If you are efiling EAD, you dont have to send photo graphs - USCIS will send FP notice to take a picture. That picture will appear on your EAD.
It is required that you send photos for your ead as they put your picture on the actual ead card. I did not apply for AP so I am not sure about the requirements for that. Good luck to you.

Lets say if campany A keeps paying me (runs my payroll with salary specified on my H1 petition) Will that keep my H1b alive and active when i work on EAD for company B ? ( Did i get that right )
Will USCIS know that i have switched jobs in between ?
What does IMHO mean ?

I have a PD of April 2008 in the EB2-I category, but am exploring the option of switching to EB1 if possible. I am a clinical psychologist, working in a not-for-profit agency. What are my chances? Does it depend more on the case itself or a really good lawyer who can present your case in the best way it can be presented? This is a really stressful situation because my husband's H1-B runs out next summer and we cannot live here on just my income. Any feedback?

Hi, I am currently on my 5th year H-1B visa. I have an option to stay with the same firm and they will help me apply greencard. But I am also considering an opportunity in Bermuda for a 2-3 year program (with the same firm).
My question is if I come back to the US after 2 years, will I be able to apply H-1B visa again? Will it be a whole new H-1B petition/application process subject to the H-1B cap?
Or will it be just another H-1B renewal process following my previous two terms?
Do I need to wait for another two terms of H-1B to expire before starting the greencard process?
Can I ask my currently employer to apply for greencard concurrently while I am working outside the US?

IV seems to have a lot of folks here on a h1b with a non profit organization. My wife is currently doing her residency in a non profit organization on a h1b so basically she is not subject to the cap.
After she finishes, and she looks for jobs, is it possible to get a h1b transfer in a profit organization without being subject to cap? Or H1b transfer is possible only with an non profit organization.

If you have recevied at least AP notice, you can use that for 1 month or so till you get another card..

Hi All,
I recently got my I140 approved and I am waiting to file my I485 as my priority date(Oct 2007) is still not current(EB2 category, India).Not sure how long it is going to take as the current backlog is July 2000 for India and China.
My brother is a citizen of the US and I need to clarify if my brother can apply for a family-based green card for me and how long does it take to get the EAD when applied through this process as compared to filing through the employer when I reach my priority date.
Also need to clarify if this process is sooner or still the same as applying through the employer.

My company filed for my H1-B extension and I have already received the Notice Of Action (Receipt) with "Received date: October 21, 2008" and "Notice Date: October 24, 2008." My case is in Vermont Center. However when I do the case search on USCIS.gov site, it says:
"Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, you can either call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283, or you can send an e-mail to uscis.webmaster@dhs.gov."
I did not type my EAC number incorrectly. I did try to call the above number, which happens to be the national center's number. However it goes in loops and loops but I was not able to speak to a Customer Service representative...I tried almost all applicable options.
Is there a way i can call the Vermont Service directly. If so could anyone please list that number. I would really appreciate any kind of help and suggestions regarding this.

I am with company A on L1B in the US. Company B is processing my GC for future employment. Now my L1B is up for renewal in December. There is a lot of paperwork that my company has asked me work on. In one of the questionnaires, I am asked if my labor / 140 / 485 is pending. I don't know what to answer.
Does any of the forms for L1B renewal needs this info? Will it be an issue if I say no? Does USCIS really care?
Pls share your experiences.

So I would like to know the options that I have to get my visa status changed to H1b.
